Introduction
zkAster — Privacy‑First DEX for Private, Seamless Exchange

zkAster is a privacy‑first DEX designed to help you exchange cryptocurrencies safely and easily. We put your privacy ahead of everything else. With a modern privacy approach inspired by zk (zero‑knowledge) principles, you stay in control of what you share — by default, nothing about your swaps is exposed.
What is zkAster?
zkAster is a privacy-first decentralized exchange (DEX) and zero-knowledge (zk)-powered settlement layer designed for everyday crypto users. It enables simple, swaps today while building toward end-to-end private payments and programmable escrow powered by zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs).
At its core, zkAster combines usability with strong privacy:
Privacy-by-design — No personal data collection, no key custody, and minimal metadata.
Non-custodial architecture — Users stay in full control of their assets; backends can’t reconstruct identity or balances.
Zero-knowledge roadmap — Gradually introducing privacy pools, stealth addresses, zk-escrow, and selective-disclosure proofs.
Vault system — A built-in encrypted storage layer (similar to Google Drive but decentralized) for saving swap history and documents via IPFS.
zkAster’s goal is to make private transactions as simple as one tap, where users can choose what to reveal and to whom. The system evolves from a clean, fixed-rate swap UI to a full zk-enabled payment network that supports unlinkable transactions, programmable privacy, and provable compliance — all without sacrificing user experience.
